Zenith Bank

Established in May 1990, Zenith Bank Plc commenced operations in July of the same year as a commercial bank. In June 17, 2004 it became a public limited company and was listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE). This was followed by a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) on October 21, 2004, making it Nigeria's biggest bank by tier-1 capital with a shareholder base of about one million. In 2013, the Bank listed $850 million worth of its shares on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) at $6.80 each. Headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, Zenith Bank Plc has over 500 branches and business offices in all states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Additionally, Zenith Bank has subsidiaries in Ghana, Sierra Leone, Gambia and representative offices in South Africa and The People’s Republic of China. Furthermore, the Bank has been granted a license by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of the United Kingdom to establish Zenith Bank (UK) Limited as its United Kingdom Show more subsidiary. Zenith Bank also plans to expand its brand to other African countries as well as the European and Asian markets.
