Savanna Silviconsult Limited was incorporated as a Private Limited Liability Company on the 11th day of June, 2008 and issued a Certificate of Incorporation, RC 752803, with an authorised share capital of N1,000,000.00 divided into 1,000,000 ordinary shares of N1.00 each. The Company’s Registered Head Office Address is House 1806, Close A, Dr. Rabiu Musa Road, Off Gwarzo Road, Dorayi Babba, Kano. Worried at the rapid rate of decline and degradation in the general quality of the environment (land, air and water) in Nigeria, Savanna Silviconsult Limited took up the challenge to address the urgent need and to provide to all manner of stakeholders in the environment specialist services in the appraisal, monitoring and management of environmental quality, in keep with the Global Sustainable Development Goals. Our present permanent staff at our head office in Kano, Nigeria include professional ecologists/environmentalists, geographers, chemists and community health workers. At Show more the helms of affairs is the Managing Director in the person of Prof. Ibrahim Baba Yakub, an erudite, seasoned and professional environmentalist. He holds a BSc degree in Geography, an MSc in Forest Resources Management (UI, 1997) and a PhD degree in Geography (Environmental Management). He is also a Director in some other reputable organisations. Next to the Managing Director are the Directors who are people of proven integrity making waves in environmental management. The Technical Director, Dr. Salisu Mohammed (B.Sc. Geography, MSc Geography and PhD Land Resources Management) is a well known personality in environmental management in Nigeria. A versatile and well-traveled man, his services and recommendations have greatly influenced the progress so far recorded by the company. Dr. Mustapha Karkarna (BSc Geography and MSc Land Resoucres and PhD Geography) is the Director Planning and Implementation of the company. The Chief Analyst is Mr Mike Abodunrin (BSc Chemical Engineering), a person with lots of hands-on industrial experirence. Dr. Garba K/Naisa (HND Laboratory Tech, PGD Soil Evaluation, MSc Land Resources and PhD Geography is the the Director Laboratory Services. Dr. Saddiq Abubakar Galaudu heads the Admin/Implementation Department of the company. These staff are supplemented by a roster of 25 associated specialists who are available throughout the country for assignments such as feasibility studies, environmental audits, environmental impact assessments and appraisals. Quangora & Associates are the Management/Tax Consultant and External Auditor of the Company. The firm carries out periodic checks on the company’s activities to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
