We invite you to participate in four (4) of our Education Sector specific capacity development courses: viz; 1. Strategic Management and Leadership Training for Heads of Schools and Management Staff. 2. Enhancing the Monitoring and Evaluation Capabilities of School Administrators/Quality Assurance and School Self Evaluation. 3. Teacher Leadership Development. The two courses have specifically been developed to address issues of leadership, strategy and management of private schools in Lagos State in particular, especially giving the peculiarities of the education sector in Lagos State, which leans heavily on market economics. In recent times as well, the Lagos State Government has been addressing reforms to the public education sector through the Lagos EKO Project (a World Bank financed school development project). The impact of the reforms in the public sector means that private schools will have more competition from a hitherto non-competitive sector. The fact that education Show more is patently free of fees in the public sector will mean also that when standards improve in that sector as they have already began to do, the natural impact would be a drop in private schools enrolment figures and an increase in public sector enrolment. These issues underscore the need for more effective management of private schools. The most significant way of retaining and even increasing schools’ enrolment is for private schools to deliver top class schools achievement result amidst judicious management of funds and stakeholder “buy in”. This is where strategy and leadership as well as effective monitoring of school processes come in to avail for the school that will succeed.
