Pact-nigeria

Pact has worked for more than a decade in Nigeria, a complex country that is home to more people than any other African nation. With funding partners that have included Chevron and The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Pact uses local solutions and builds the capacity of Nigerian organizations to create lasting impact. Currently, Pact is working to stem violent conflict between nomadic livestock herders and indigenous farmers in Nigeria's Taraba State. With local partners and tribes, we're facilitating community conflict resolution through self-driven and locally-owned dialogue and consensus-building, improving access to justice and strengthening local government and institutional capacity to effectively promote peace. Pact and its partners are also working to reach and sustain HIV epidemic control among pregnant and breastfeeding women, adolescents, infants and children in Nigeria through the ACHIEVE project.
