Hygeia Group

Founded in 1986, Hygeia is a West African provider of comprehensive healthcare services. Its flagship hospital, Lagoon Hospital Apapa, is a multi-specialist tertiary facility located in Lagos, Nigeria. Since then, Hygeia has grown to include two additional hospitals in the Ikeja and Victoria Island districts of Lagos, as well as two subsidiaries providing health insurance services. These subsidiaries are Hygeia HMO, a health maintenance organization that serves more than 400,000 individuals from over 250 corporate clients with a network of over 1,200 providers, and Hygeia Community Health Plan, a donor-funded program that seeks to improve access to quality healthcare for low-income groups in Nigeria.
