Efex Executive Transport (Ojodu)

Efosa Express proudly belongs to the first generation of indigenous transportation companies, as we started with one taxi-cab (MBC 5095) in 1975 in Benin City.

By 1981, our fleet of vehicles was over 30, mainly town-service taxis and Danfo buses (Tuke Tuke) in Benin City. At some stage, we ventured into mini-haulage business using Mitsubishi Canter trucks to transport tomatoes from Zaria to Benin City.

It was in 1981, that we purchased our first 30-Seater Mitsubishi Rosa bus for Lagos to Benin inter-state travel. Three days after the bus was purchased, and after making its maiden trip to Lagos, the driver of the vehicle, by name Mr. Efosa, decided to brand the bus boldly with EFOSA EXPRESS .That was the birth of our brand name.

For the first three years of our operation on the inter-state, all the four major transporters, including our Company, operating on the Benin To Lagos route, were utilizing  one common motor-park location at Iyaro, on a turn-by-turn basis. Our company was the first to quit that general motor park, and move our operations to more conducive and exclusive purpose-built premises at No 40, Urubi Street. We were later to move to No. 2, Urubi Street, Iyaro, which remains one of our operating stations till date. That was our first successful attempt or move to differentiate ourselves from the others , and begin to provide services which surpass the industry standards.


In 1997, we created the Efex Executive Bus Rentals services to provide air-conditioned buses for our clients’ ceremonies, events, excursions etc. That was a foretaste of the big bang of 2004, when we launched Efex Executive A/C bus for commercial travelers in Nigeria. The introduction of Efex Executive A/C Bus was to elevate us from all other transporters in the mini-bus sector of the industry. Even our competitors did not believe it was viable or sustainable; hence it took almost one year later before others started venturing in one after the other.


It is to our great satisfaction that today, millions of  Nigerian road travelers now enjoy this brilliant idea from our stable. We are sure that other West African countries and indeed other African countries are also switching over to A/C bus travel.
