Before & Beyond Birth (pre and postnatal services)

Before and Beyond Birth is primarily established to deliver focused antenatal care and efficient postnatal services. To bring about the long overdue change from the traditional approach of antenatal care delivery, creating the needed awareness of birth preparedness/complication readiness, by experienced Midwives, as a goal-directed intervention in reducing maternal mortality and childbirth complications. To achieve these, it is critical to associate both pre and postnatal care delivery with diagnosing and treating the causes of childbirth complications and maternal mortality by a skilled attendant. We... (i) promote and maintain the physical, mental, and social health of mother and baby by providing education on nutrition, personal hygiene, and birthing process; (ii) develop birth preparedness and complication readiness plan by providing relevant information and education through health resource persons; (iii) help prepare mother to breastfeed successfully, experience normal puerperal, and take good care of the child physically, psychologically, and socially.
