Ansar-Ud-Deen College of Education was established in October 2004 with an intake of 105 pioneer students. It is an offspring of Ansar-Ud-Deen Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies established in 1982 and affiliated with the University of Ibadan in July 1989.
The College is owned by the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Lagos Branch. It gained 100% accreditation in all the courses offered at its first exercise in December 2006 – the first of its kind in the accreditation processes of the colleges of education in Nigeria.
