The Association for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities of Nigeria (AIDDN) is a non-governmental organization that advocates for the rights and welfare of Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in Nigeria. AIDDN comprises Parents, Professionals, Caregivers, and other NGOs who have a genuine passion for the well-being of Children, Youths and Adults with disabilities such as Down-Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Bifida, Hydrocephalus, Microcephalus, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disability (formerly called Mental Retardation MR) and others related to Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. AIDDN was established to be the voice for these vulnerable individuals who cannot defend themselves or advocate for their rights and needs; thus our motto "Voice for the Voiceless".
