The school was name after Adeniyi Street in Itire where the school was formerly located .It was de shifted from Adeniyi street because of flooding during rainy season to this new site and was commissioned on the 20th September, 1980.when the school was commissioned .The population was about 1,046 because pupils where deployed from different Nursery Schools to make the school .The population had been decreasing because of because parents do not like their children crossing the expressway and their is no pedestrian bridge around
